World PvP Event (April)

The World PvP Event is a system used by our guild “Crying Panda,” to encourage our members to relentlessly slaughter the opposing factions, by rewarding their hard work with 100 gold per victim. Additional 10 gold is given per follow-up kill to ensure corpse camping.

All kills outside of battlegrounds, world battlegrounds, and arenas are eligible for the reward. To be safe, just make sure the victim is in the middle of a quest.

This event is active at all times.

To claim your reward get a picture of you standing over the corpse with the combat log message showing. This must be done for every kill. Post it up here by leaving a comment. Once you get the kill and post, an officer will send you the gold via in game.

To post your picture in the comments, please follow these steps.

1. Click on “leave a comment”

2. Follow the instructions below the “Submit comment” button.

3. Allow the popups then do step 2 again.

4. Now enter your image url. If you do not have one you can go to tinypic.com and create one. Use the direct link layouts url.

If you leave an ugly giant screen shot. It will be removed. You will not earn your bounty.

How to install addons

To manually install your mods:

1. Download your chosen addon

2. Extract the files to a folder on your desktop.

3. Open your WoW folder.

If using a PC, the typical default install path is:

C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft

If using a Macintosh, the typical default install path is:

Macintosh Main HD (or whatever you renamed it to, if you did)/Applications/World of Warcraft

4. In the WoW folder, create a new folder called Interface (if it doesn’t already exist)

5. Open that folder, create another one inside it, called AddOns (again, if it doesn’t already exist)

6. Open the AddOns folder

7. Copy the files from the folder on your desktop into the AddOns folder

8. Your final path should look like:

PC:

C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\< ModAFolderName >\< files >
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\< ModBFolderName >\< files >
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\< ModCFolderName >\< files >

Mac:

Macintosh HD/Applications/World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons/< ModAFolderName >/< files >

(where < ModAFolder > < .B. > < .C. > are the names of the actual folders that the mods create)

9. Log into game. At the character select screen, there should be an “AddOns” button in the lower left corner. Click on that. If any of the mods in the list that pops up say “out of date” or some such, choose the “Load Outdated AddOns” option.

10. Log the rest of the way into game, you should be up and running now.

New changes in WoW for the casual player.

Great changes for the casual player in WoW patch 4.3

You can do the latest raid with the raid finder. You get super buffs and the fights are not too hard. Great loot etc.

You don’t have to just do arenas now for the latest pvp gear. Instead of winning 8 arena matches a week now you can win about 26 random bgs to get the same amount of conquest points for the PvP gears.
